Administrator

Jeff Russell, LNHA

Jeff Russell has been the Administrator at Alden Poplar Creek since July 2009. He previously served as Assistant Administrator of the rehabilitation and health care center as well as Administrator of Alden Estates of Naperville. Jeff joined Alden in 2000 as the Medicaid Reimbursement Manager after working for the Illinois Department of Public Aid. His career also includes service in the United States Army, 82 Airborne Division. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Southern Illinois University. Jeff is a licensed nursing home administrator.

Assistant Administrator

Angie Wirtz

Angie has an impressive career in health care and meeting the medical needs of the older adult population. In the 15 years she has been with the “Alden family,” Angie has held the positions of Staffing Coordinator, Admission Director, Executive Director and Assistant Administrator at a variety of Alden facilities, including Alden Northmoor, Alden North Shore, Alden of Waterford, Alden Long Grove, Alden Estates of Barrington and most recently Alden Poplar Creek.

Director of Nursing

Nelia Tinio, RN

Nelia Tinio, RN, came to Alden Poplar Creek as the Director of Nursing in January 2009. Nelia has worked in long-term care for nearly 40 years and has previously served as a Director of Nursing as well as a Corporate Nurse Consultant.

Admission Director

Carol Magpayo

Carol Magpayo joined Alden Poplar Creek as Admission Director in December 2009. Her main goal is to assist current residents as well as prospective residents and their families to ensure a smooth transition to the rehabilitation center either from home or from the hospital setting. Carol also works closely with physicians and caseworkers to coordinate resident transfers. Carol has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of the Philippines, Manila, Philippines.
